Hi Deb

Just wanted to say don't worry about the hospital results. I have had digestive problems over the last 2 years some symptoms similar to yours and some different. I had a barium enema about a year ago and everything was OK.

I have been to the hospital since then with my constantly changing symptoms and they are now sure I have IBS.

Most of the time I am ok but suffer especially at night when I am lying down like you. I get trapped wind and bloating and sometimes you can acually see these hard lumps in my abdomen which move from place to place (scary).

I got interested in homeopathy because I have been ill with this for two years and the doctors told me there was nothing wrong with me/nothing they could do. I had a good career but found it increasingly difficult to get through the day - I had stomach pains and dreadful fatigue. I also started suffering from anxiety and totally lost my self confidence. So I decided to be pro active to try and get my health back.

I decided to start studying homeopathy as well as having homeopathic treatment - therefore when my homeopath gives me a remedy I can read up on it.

(Thats why I asked the carc question because I have been prescribed it and to be perfectly honest it is the only homeopathic remedy which I have trouble in understanding/accepting.)

Any way, I am feeling better than I did a year ago but still have a way to go. With digestive disorders I think it is partly about understanding yourself and what personally helps you eg diet (like you I dont have wheat) also I find relaxation is important.

I have started using aromatherapy - palmarosa is particularly good for digestive problems I find it helps massaging it onto my abdomen before I go to bed.

Any way, to get back to the subject, I just wanted you to know that many of us have digestive problems - some severe, some just uncomfortable and very few of them are dangerous - dont worry.

Kindest Regards

Lou
