My son was amongst the first generation to be given the MMR pre-school booster.

I wasn't told he was having MMR. We were called for pre-school boosters. I was told there would be two needles which I thought was diptheria and tetanus (I know I was niaive!).

Afterwards the nurse said that the second needle was MMR. I am still angry to this day and blame myself for not being more on the ball. But in those days 1996, I trusted doctors and believed in immunisation.

He has suffered bowel problems. It made his early school years difficult, as he had no control and would be very embarrassed if he had an 'accident'.

He's better now, after homeopathic treatment.

He understands what happened (a reaction to a vaccine) he knows it's not his fault.

My younger two have not had pre-school boosters, our choice not the doctors. We still get letters asking when they will be having boosters.

The logic of these combined vaccines is beyond belief.

No doubt they'll be introducing an 11 plus booster soon. Just in time to catch his generation again!
