Anna,
Have you read any of Harris Coulter's books?
He talks about how a lot of diseases now are very complicated because of previous treatment, antibiotics (mainly penicillin and similar drugs), etc. (handed down from the parents to the child who is unvaccinated as well!! i.e. syphylis that is treated and not really cured...problems with detecting it in the secondary stages - hence undetected..and other factors such as vaccines skew the disease picture so now no one can always pick up a case of typical syphylis because it hardly exists anymore..........). I was reading Aids and Syphilis - the Hidden Link (I think that is the title).
It was interesting because it not only made me consider Syphylis but also other common diseases.
As you say - it boils down to susceptibility..but his books have given me a slightly different understanding on it. Wonder how it figures into the common childhood disease though. Not just vaccine use/damage..but antibiotics. There was enough sound information in that one little book alone, that made me realise I will never touch another antibiotic unless it is a truly life threatening situation where I have no access to my homeopath or remedies................Just chewing on all this of late...hope you don't mind my thinking out loud.
