sudden onset after exposure to cold dry winds
<midnight, pale faced, may have one cheek flushed, perspiration of face only.
restless & thirsty. Desires company
early stages of fever related illness

Belladonna
Sudden onset,violent acute illness, high fever, throbbing, flushed face
Lack of thirst. Generally right sided, dilated pupils. Feet & hands cold, delirium or vivid hallucinations. fear of dogs
< 3pm or may start 11 am & peak at 3pm
convulsions, Pain > pressure. intense heat of body parts

Apis
< heat > cold applications
fever with alternating sweats & dry heat. Stinging pains
Aggravation 3pm
Swelling & odema around eyes
generally thirstless but pharyngitis > cold drinks
Throat pain extends into ears
boring of head into pillow
Urticaria with burning pain

Byronia
must be left alone and quiet
In fever asks "to go home"
< motion. Pt will lie very still.< cold weather, cold drinks
aggravation at 9pm and on rising in morning.May have thirst for large quantities of fluid, but infrequently
<overheating or stuffy rooms
>lying affected side, pressure. perspiration
colds go straight to chest
Dry hard painful cough, with need to hold side

Ars Alb
Chilly but < cold
strong desire for heat, but in acute illness, the face is hot & pt desires open air.
Restless+++
thirst for small quantities - often
Periodicity daily, fortnightly
burning pains >heat
aggravation midnight or 1-2pm
fear++
