Seriously though....been to Mykonos, Syros (stayed in a nice little villa there but the landlady was a bit intrusive - erm - she wasn't Greek - she was from Holland
), not been to Santorini yet - moored up in Ptmos and Tinos before..and many many other islands. Love the Sporades...but Skiathos is so damned touristy now that we are sad when we go there (usually sail outta there now...never stay on Skiathos anymore). In fact, we sailed from Skiathos last summer...went across to Skopelos, Alonissos (and some of those tiny islands in between)...then sailed across to Lesvos with a stop in - shoot, what is the name of that island where they used to exile people too?? It was there....remember there was an earthquake there last summer? A big one
. WE WERE THERE THAT NIGHT! But, thankfully being on a sailing yacht, we only heard the horrible noise (it was scary as Hell!) and the boat rocked terribly....everyone came out of their houses..and slept on the street! Got interviewed the next morning by Greek journalists....and ate ice cream (no one had the gas on). Well..there are many other islands...(Crete, which is not one of my favourites, Corfu - did the whole Ionian
and others)...and many good memories there. This next summer...we're thinking of branching out..maybe Corsica or Sardinia this time!
