Oh My God, Lisa. I didn't really like you at first, know I LOVE you - and you can never say anything to make me not love you again !!!!!!!
The Danforth is in Toronto, Canada. It was a little inside nudge for the wonderful (and sometimes sternly serious) Divina who thinks I was serious about slotting Vithoulkas into either "Power Hungry Greek Bastard or Genius"..
Tornoto has an incredible Greek town on the Danforth where I lived for 5 years. It is where I really got into lay Homeopathy before I started going to Homeopathic Academy.
As for GREECE young lady. I LOVE Greece. I lived in greece for 7 years. On Mykonos, Syros, Santorini, Patmos and a little while on Tinos.
I have the most beautiful property on the face of the earth on Mykonos - overlooking the entire white-washed village of Mykonos. You see the crystal blue waters of the Mediterranean and in your direct view are the islands of Tinos, Syros and Delos. It is UNBELIEVABLE. Maybe I'll build a hotel or Homeoapthic Academy!
I speak fluent Greek and, at the time, I was Executive Translator to a high ranking Greek Government Official - all this right out of college.
His Honorable Mr. X ( I will call him for the sake of anonymity) (the official I translated for) knew Vithoulkas and had Vithoulkas treat himself and his family. They bacame friends of a good sort.
We would go to Alonissos now and again where I would travel with him in an official capacaty. I had some of the most hilarious times EVER with these two guys.
In the Tavernas we would be on the floor laughing hysterically (tears streaming from my eyes), about ALL things - political and not, etc.. etc.. One night I think we broke 1,000 plates. Vithoulkas started. Everyone followed suit, it was anarchy. And we originally went for just a little "meze". 5 hours later I still couldn't stop the tears.
I am going to go back to Alonissos and live soon. I haven't decided whether to finish out the next two years of homeopathic academy here, or just leave in a couple of months and go live on Alonissos for a few years seeing George Vithoulkas everyday, in the down season, and learning HIS homeopathy.
Sitting inside a little taverna while the wind howls outside, rain beating down on the streets of the little island like beeds of melencholy. Inside, steaming, wild, island grown chamomile tea fills the air and permeates every particle of your being. I lay back in the chair and listen with undivided attention as Vithoulkas, the artist, speaks from the deepest parts of his knowing. Every word carrying with it an understanding without words.
A one on one learning experience unduplicatable anywhere. The pictures on the wall watch as George Vithoulkas brightens the path of another with the entire light of his soul.
Think I'm nuts? I make it happen! I know his heart. The question is, do I want to do this? I'll keep you posted on what I decide and maybe my posts will start coming from Alonissos...
Greece calls me every minute of everyday. I walk around here and go through the motions of my life. But my heart and soul are always sailing around the sun-drenched shores of Mykonos and Santorini.
Well, I'm leaving now for a week. I'll get to posting when back,
WITH LOVE AND BIG GREEK KISSES...
OOOOOOOOOHHHPAAAAAAAAAAAA !!!!!!!!!!
