If you are coping with a loved one at home with Alzheimers I admire you. My mother in law still lives on her own but for how long...... My husband does not want her living with us!! I think it is kinder to have her looked after in her own home than be put in a residential unit. At the moment we have someone that goes in for 1/2 hout every day but she really needs someone to cook her a meal.It is interesting that she doesn't seem to feel full up and is shopping and buying sweet biscuits and cake rather than proper food. She is bored and lonely and says that no one comes to see her but that is because she forgets when someone has been round. I am going to attempt to get her into a day centre to occupy her during the day. I find it difficult to give her a remedy because she can't express how she is feeling a lot of the time. On another thread I explained that when she started accusing my husband, her son of taking her money - she actually said that she was in the bank with him and that they gave him £6000 of her money. She accused him and hher daughter who lives a long way away of other things as well but after I gave her a Crot H this all stopped. At the moment it is the obstinate stage as she refuses to be told she is doing something wrong so it is kinder to ignore it . We have to check that she is putting perishable food in the frige and things that she buys like ice cream in the freezer rather than in a cupboard!!
I think that the rubric you are looking for is Fera of insanity. In the Complete there are 75 remedies soI willleave you with this one.
