Thanks for the clarification on what a repertory is; I've seen them, just didn't know what they were called. I've left a message for my friend to see Dr. Taylor; don't know if she'll follow up, however, as she's under the impression from her mother's experience with homeopathy that the dietary, lifestyle restrictions are so severe she may not want to try it. Oh well. Perhaps if her vison worsens, she will be motivated to call Dr. Taylor.
As to "no-hangover" wine, I discovered this on a trip through Europe when I realized I was sleeping better and not experiencing hangovers, despite the fact that I was drinking much more wine than usual. I asked a wine merchant back in the US and he said the sulfites that are added to most wine in the US, whether produced here or imported, can cause headaches in those who are especially suseptible to sulfites. (There are some "naturally occuring" sulfites in wine). These wines are not to be confused with organic wines, which means the grapes are grown organically, but still may have sulfites added.) In the US there are several brands available that do not have sulfites added, I don't know what the situation is in England. The cost is reasonable; $8-$15 a bottle. I guess you could just ask the person in charge of wine wherever you usually buy wine if they carry any without added sulfites. Incidently, if I do get a queasy feeling during the night or the next day, from ANY wine, I just take some nux vomica and it helps tremendously-this little trick I learned from the students at the Naturopathic college here in Portland!

So, salud!
