Apparently, if you can stay drunk through your bout of fever, the plasmodium can no longer act. I have seen people try this, but some nearly killed themselves in the process. However if you are drunk before you get stung the first place, the plasmodium cannot find a hold and I have also seen peole remain free of malaria, by getting drunk every night.
