This is because in hypo-thyroid the readings for 2 different hormones are exactly opposite (I will post later which 2 -don't have the book here). Thus there are 2 conflicting messages, which are very difficult to sort out for the body. Also once the gland is swollen. it is more difficult, but I do not know why - possibly the same reason.

Those so disparaging about experiment, should remember that hahnemann had nothing else and that every proving is an experiment. It is the core of scientific investigation and homoeopathy would not be where it is today without experiment. So there is no need to feel bad, except by those that make unfounded remarks, based on a poor fund of knowledge.
