I babysit for a woman whose 6yr old son has autism. Any help with this case would be greatly appreciated. The child was progressing normally until he received his immunizations at age 18 months. His mother made several phone calls and discovered that there were many complaints filed on these particular batches of immunizations (the authorities would not go into more detail - just that these particular batches had above normal numbers of complaints filed). Anyways, the child is very good-natured but does not talk and does not interact with other people. He is pleasant and not at all aggressive - he's just basically "there". He does not self-mutilate. At birth he weighed 11lbs and his collar bone broke because of his size. The child has no fear and will get into things that are potentially very dangerous (but he is not a daredevil or anything like that). As for food, he doesn't crave anything in particular, although he prefers crunchy foods and does not like mushy food (he'll eat apples but not bananas, for example). His mother has mentioned that he'll drop things - such as a ceramic figurine - just to see what will happen. I'm not sure if this is enough to go on but I can post some more on Monday. Thank you all so much.
