Hi VS--
Don't you just hate that? When they say things like, "A pressure...feels like a pressure!" Drives me wild.
Here is the definition of "Oppression" I found on-line at Merriam Webster:
Main Entry: op·pres·sion
Pronunciation: &-'pre-sh&n
Function: noun
Date: 14th century
1 a : unjust or cruel exercise of authority or power b : something that oppresses especially in being an unjust or excessive exercise of power
2. a sense of being weighed down in body or mind : see DEPRESSION
So, a feeling like a weight was placed on the part (similar to what pressure means, but not always the same thing).
Course, it would help if that were clarified a bit, but what can you do--use the patient's words and see what comes up! Good luck with the case (ps--not lots of work--just "cut and paste" from the on-line repertory I used!--but hope it helps you in your work.)
