I had a very good case of Aqua marina in a patient for which I had used Nat-mur without success. She was very frightened of robbers, would lock her door at night and put a chair up against it, wake at slight noises, search the room for robbers etc. She was very sensitive to people and very concerned with others feelings. I had also given her Staph and Stram, as she had a great fear of intruders at night, of being attacked or abused, and had a history of rape where she was unable to defend herself. But the most peculiar part of the case was that she imagined the man she was sharing a house with was spying on her while she was in the shower. She also felt people were looking at her through the windows at night and insisted on curtains being pulled.

Where the other remedies had failed, aqua marina did wonders, even recreating a serious illness she had in the past. She lost almost all of this fear at night.
