Yep - GM is correct .

Ricky, he had a NASTY fall two summers ago (about 18 months back) while in Greece. Fell forward (while toddling his independent self along ) right onto his front teeth.

His teeth were white and beautifully healthy before the fall. Soon after - of course, the gums (top) were shredded - and it took weeks for the swelling (didn't have any Arnica with us ) to go down. Then as the weeks passed, the four front teeth were noticeably damaged. The colour began to change...they weren't shiny anymore. They weren't broken initially - but they looked awful. We took him to A&E, but they said there was nothing we could do......

Over the last 18 months - the right incisor chipped off (was weak) a small bit. Then last week, he was playing around - and eating a biscuit or some snack...came to give me a cuddle and when he grinned at me, I saw his front left tooth had broken (at the gum! ) and the root (that was almost dead...this particular tooth was the worst..and had turned greyish/blackish) was exposed...

The teeth had been overly sensitive to cold (and sometimes hot)...

Anyhow, when it broke..I asked GM what we should do...leave it alone - or get it checked.etc....and when we initially took him to a dentist here (military hosp dental centre) the D just covered it up with a cap, even though he had just told me that it needed to be pulled. So, we called round and found another D, who agreed it (and the other front tooth) needed to be extracted. They were crumbling and weak. Half the enamel was missing on all four front teeth, but the two middle ones were the worst. Also, he said to pull the two incisors could cause problems with spacing, so he left those alone for the time being.

That's what happened. Poor baby always seems to be in the wars.
But, this latest D was great . Thanks for asking.
