My son is 26 years old and has been diagnosed with a severe expressive & receptive language disorder from a child. He went to special schools. He tests in the mildly retarded range but neuropsychiatrists report that he has soft neurological symptoms and this is a result of this disability. He was able to work in a janitorial position for the past 3 years but had a breakdown a year ago and has not been able to return to work. We see homeopaths but they have not been able to find the right remedy to at least get him back to the way he was.
As an infant he was born 6 weeks early, weighting 5 lbs 2 oz. He always cried and would always need to be rocked or held in order to sleep. He had diaper rash, was on soy milk because of formula intolerence, had many upper respiratory infections that were treated with antibiotics. Walked at 14 months, very hyper. Started to talk at age 2 but his vocabulary never built. Very bright and alert looking but confused and could not understand what was being said. Motor skills were poor. Very poor sleeper and still is. Around age 8, he became very allergic to foods and the environment. He had one asthma attack and at that time we started vitamin therapy. Around age 12 we started seeing a homeopath. His health is good now but his mental state has worsened. He still doesn't sleep well. Wakes up all hours. Is very agitated to the point that he punches walls, swears, runs out of the house yelling. Is in deep thought but will not respond when asked what he is thinking about. He says he doesn't hear voices but he is in a world of his own. Is so involved in his thoughts that he has to be prompted for everything and get agitated because he is being interrupted. Cannot shower by himself. He has bad acne on his back and pustules around his nose, chin and neck. His hair has been thinning. He has recently been treated with oxytropis, helleboris, baryta C, hyoscyamos and arnica. He is not affectionate at all and doesn't want you to even put your hand on his shoulder. He always picking at his fingers or rubbing them together. He will often get a dry cough at night while sleeping. because of his language disability we are guessing about what is going on. I have no idea what to try.

Thank you
