First of all, let me say I think this BB is great! What a wonderful resource! I am a 43 y/o female with a 2 month old baby. I have never had a breast infection with my other children. 3 weeks ago I thought I was fighting the flu-as the day progressed I would feel more achy, tired and I had a low-grade fever(this started on Sunday) By Wed. I finally realized that I had a breast infection (duh) My breast was sore but I thought maybe it had to do with the fact that my whole body ached. That is also the first day I noticed a red spot. By night my whole breast was red and warm. I had always heard that you should take Phytolacca for breast infections. I didn't have any so I started taking Belladonna 6x( that was all I had) I was talking to my Amish friend the next day and she had Phytol. 200c. I took a dose of it (3 tablets) and by the next morning I woke up drenched in sweat. I figured the infection was leaving . I have felt much better since then, although it did take quite a few days to recover completely. Anyway, yesterday I started to have this same fluish feeling and my breast is starting to feel tender again. My ? is (finally) should I take another dose of Phtol. 200c (it has been 2 weeks and a day) or maybe should I take Belladonna 200c (which I now have) A friend of mine told me I should use the Belladonna. Do you think that maybe I should have taken another dose of Phytol. I figured that since my body was fighting it the remedy was working and there was no need for more. Maybe the infection wasn't totally gone. I am holding off taking anything until I hear from someone. Thanks so much!
