This is a non-sequitor. I said that the research should have been funded when he first made the connection. Scientists have this strange notion that if an idea doesn't fit their preconcieved ideas, then there's no point in evaluating it - a very unscientific attitude.

Not all illnesses are due to mistunments in the vital force. There are also maintaining causes, which if didn't exist would not result in illness. While there may be hereditary propensities to react to heavy metals, if one knows about it, then avoiding the heavy metals would be a big step toward avaiding the disease.
