I have already posted her case here, in mid July, but I've copied and pasted it into this thread. The stomach problem was not the main reason for the posting, as it had just started about that time. I mentioned it at the end of the post, almost an aferthought at the time, but now has become prominent in her picture.
She's a very happy, pleasant little girl, 10 y/o, recently just beginning signs of puberty (breast development), fair, dark blonde hair, big
blue eyes, well behaved and very agreeable, good natured, though can
get a bit of an attitude and gets mouthy with me, mostly outgoing but
shy with strangers and adults, often
acts very much older than her years, loves music and dancing, very
obvious artistic talent, always singing and dancing-that's what she
wants to do when
she grows up. Wouldn't hurt a soul, loves animals and said recently she
almost likes animals more than people (but doesn't like to take care of
the animals), is the peacemaker when other friends
argue, can be bossy and demanding, very messy-just drops her things on
the floor and leaves them there, cries easily when scolded even slightly at home, says
it
hurts her feelings, and in school wants to cry from being reprimanded
but doesn't for embarrassment, excels in school, reading and language
arts being her strong points, teachers all say what a pleasant child she
is to have in their class, she talks SO MUCH and asks questions
constantly at home, complains of being bored a lot, always wants to be
going and doing, is terribly afraid of the dark, sleeps only in a well
lighted room (though recently has been willing to try once in a while
sleeping with light off as long as hall light shines into room),
complains that bright sunlight hurts her eyes especially
while in the car, grinds her teeth while sleeping, sleeps a lot on back
with hands over head, had a nightmare
several years ago (because of a Stephen King movie she shouldn't have
seen) about a big dog with red eyes biting off her arm and she dies, and
she continues
to be terrified that she will dream it again and has a few times, has
bad dreams too often, recently one of a grim reaper figure saying "Death
is soon" then a few weeks later dreamed that I had died! (Oh I see the
death dream theme here)
She had night terrors when younger and will sleepwalk now and then when
overly tired.
She has an enormous appetite, can eat lots at a time, and is constantly
asking for
a drink, which she gulps down. Her friends parents have commented on how
well and how much she eats at their homes. That given, she is quite
small for her age, though her height is in nice proportion to her
weight. She will eat almost any food given her, or at least try it,
dislikes green veggies and
most fruit, tomatoes and onions, hates anything slimy and hates fish but
likes crabmeat, and eats lots of smoked foods salami, pepperoni, bacon,
etc., loves pizza, pasta, hamburgers and sweets, likes sweet and salty
together sometimes (she apparently will dip potato chips into chocolate
pudding at school, yuck, though I've never seen this), likes sour things
like vinegar chips but dislikes pickles, puts tons of both salt and
pepper on her food...it's inedible by others from how much she puts on.
She has beautiful skin, very healthy looking on her face, slightly dry
elsewhere, has several moles and some freckles across nose, loves having
her back scratched, and when
scratched the slightest touch leaves red marks. She has a sneezing fit
almost every morning in winter when she gets up, and often has postnasal
dripping,
which on occasion has made her vomit from the accumulation in her
stomach of the mucus. Had surgery for inguinal hernia age 7, prior to
surgery used to have terrible abdominal pains followed by a bowel
movement then the pains would go--these pains have reoccured recently.
She's a very gassy little thing.
Until this school year missed many days for illness,
mostly high fevers with bad nasal congestion, had recurrent ear
infections as a baby/toddler, but has had NONE of the standard childhood
illnesses, has never even had strep throat. Had all the standard US
vaccines, but I would NOT let her get the chicken pox vaccine. Family
health is fairly good, grandfather has high blood pressure and there is
some heart disease on his side of the family, grandmothers side has
depression, glaucoma. Her father's father died of some disease I can't
remember the name of, a paralyzing, crippling arthritic thing.
She also has a mild case of Tourette Syndrome, with some
facial tics, a tic about rubbing her toe inside her shoe or on the
floor, clearing her throat and constant burping that she says she HAS to
do--says it feels like a bubble is in her throat. The Tourette symptoms
have flared up of late, as they sometimes do, with increased throat
clearing/grunting noise, biting the inside of her mouth giving sores and
the burping, and she's asked me to get help for her with the Tourette as
she hates it. Her father hasn't seen her since she was one year old, and
doesn't want to see her, so obviously that effects her, and she's a bit
uncomfortable with men as a result, not accustomed to being around them.
She now says she has no interest in meeting her father, but has at times
mentioned wanting to meet him. She is angry and hurt about him, I know,
whether she admits it or not, and would prefer not to talk about him.
She's been given Puls. 30 and 200, Phos. 30, Nat-m 30 prior to stomach trouble, no effect. This bubbling, bloated, hard abdomen seems to have started about the time the breast development began, now that I think about it, if that has any bearing.
