Dear Joy,
-Simply highlight the text (by moving your mouse cursor to the beginning of the text - click..and drag down, while holding your finger on the mouse - to where the end of the text is)....
-Right Click on the highlighted area (a box pops up)
-Choose COPY...from the box
-Open the program you want to copy it into (i.e., Word..and don't forget to 'open a new document')
-Right Click again (and another box pops up) -This time you choose PASTE.

And, wa la - your text is successfully copied into another program (like Word, or Notepad) - then you can edit it however you like.

That was one of the first things I learned...and I promise - it's easy.
