Regarding low basal body temperature, it may be one indication of low thryoid. However Dr.Barns who wrote a book about thryoid also pointed out that there is an exception, some arthritic patients may have a continuous low grade fever and be low thryoid too. So the method of homeopathy of taking the totality of symptoms still appears to be the best method of helping a patient with thryoid problems.
