My daughter is 6 years of age.On Thursday we received a call from school that she is having stomoch pain and my wife picked her up early. On the way they visited the family doctor who diagnosed her having a lot of gas. The pain did not seem to go away and has remained constant. Today morning I went and showed her to another family physician who stated that the symptoms are not of appendicitis as yet.
My wife gave her belladona with the result that at one point my daughter said that she has no pain at all. After dinner the pain started yet again and then it is again contant. I called a nurse line who stated that an x-ray needs to be done. I am probably going to get it done this night.
The symptoms are as follows:
pain at the top right corner above navel. She drinks water well. Her diet has diminished. She is very active and does not look sick at all. No fever (probably belladona is taking care of that too). Can sleep well. She sleeps continously without any problems and does not wake up in the middle. She is not crying. No swelling near the navel. Pain gets worse with movement. Eating very less. Her playing and activities are normal and during the day she keeps jumping about without any problems. I think that is why the doctors have not yet done a ultrasound at all.
I am very confused. Please help as soon as possible. I will be looking forward to answers
