I think the lithping brain donors could benefit from a reminder of the significant issues. This summary provided for you by an amused member of the audience;

" I've just been reading your latest diatribe in homeopathyhome. Hysterical. Don't you realise you're not approaching these experts with the proper humility? Hey, when did they ever approach real medicine with anything like "proper humility"? No, we're evil, moneygrubbing allopaths, the lot of us.

I'm honestly losing count of the contradications, inconsistencies and ignored questions in there.

Just take a 30C preparation of anything you like and you'll be convinced - oh no, you need to have your case taken first, and anyway, we refuse to be committed as to exactly what you'll feel that will convince you, or when. And we all differ about the protocol you should use.

Well, wouldn't it be easier just to wait till you get sick, then credit a remedy for your eventual recovery?

Homoeopathy is so strong and so successful - but there are lots of people practising who have no idea what they're doing, actually. (No, don't say that, it's divisive.)

Homoeopathic remedies are so powerful you'll get sick if you misuse them. But they're only water, so they're really safe and don't need to be regulated, and just the thing for the residue-free requirements of organic farming.

Homoeopathy is really successful - but some of the main manufacturers aren't preparing the remedies properly. Nevertheless, there's no need for regulation to make sure only properly-prepared remedies can be sold. (Which is probably just as well, because it's very doubtful if we could agree on how to prepare them "properly", just as we can't agree how Hans should do his proving.)

Lots of widely-used remedies haven't been properly proved - maybe we ought to re-prove them? But it the mean time we'll go right on using them just the way we usually do, and ascribing "successes" to their effects.

Anyway, our "patients" get better, we're obviously doing them good, why does it matter if it's an effect of the remedy or just our nice bedside manner? (That's the most recent post, if you haven't seen it.)

Hans asked if the Devon provings were valid, and they didn't answer.

Hans asked if there was any way at all they could distinguish between a bottle of medicated pills and a bottle of pills just moistened with the native solvent, and they didn't answer.

Frankly, my brain is reeling.

You know, the way this is going, there will be more sceptics than homoeopaths on these forums - I note that they're not very busy, and most of the threads that actually go anywhere have Hans or Starburn in the middle of them, stirring like mad."

By the way, the strategy for burying a thread you don't want lurkers to read is create lots of new ones and don't add to the one you want to pretend doesn't exist. That way it drops off the Today's Active Topics list. Just a thought. You seem to need help.
