I have compiled a document describing how to interpret the reaction to a homeopathic treatment. I think it may be a very helpful document for non-professionals (and maybe even for them!) to understand what is happening after you take or you prescribe a remedy. I have denoted 10 situations in this document and will do 10 more situations in a future document. These are taken straight from George Vithoulkis so you can count on their accuracy and veracity! They describe many similar situations that I see occurring here on the BB and in my own practice that need to be interpreted correctly. I have set this up to be available by auto responder to make it easy. (you just email this address and the document is automatically sent to you) I hope you like it and that it helps people who need to understand this most misunderstood aspect of Homeopathy -interpreting the case follow up! This first document is about 10 pages long.

Here's an example :

Patient: "I feel much better-in every way.
Case: Definite aggravation, then definite improvement of all symptoms.
Interpretation: Remedy was precise.
Strong defence mechanism. Good prognosis.
Prescription: Wait a long time six months or more.

A distinct initial aggravation of short duration (from a few hours to three days) followed by a definite amelioration within one month signifies that the remedy was precisely the simillimum. It also means that the prognosis is very good for the patient, because the original disease was primarily focused upon functional levels and involved very little organic pathology. The patient's defense mechanism was already quite strong prior to administration of the remedy, and the well-selected medicine has further strengthened it in a curative direction.
