Ironically, many of the worst situations I've read about on this board have resulted from patients visiting homeopaths and being given bad information from paid professionals. Many cures I have found for myself have come from many hours of perusing Materia Medicas and other homeopathic books and there are some remedies that are fairly standard. I don't prescribe as much to the constitutional mentality as I once did..Society today is much more complex than it was back a century or so ago when Hahneman developed his techniques. There are alot more factors involved...in fact constitutionals (even by highly-acclaimed professionals) have failed to give me better results than I have found myself... There is no harm in sharing with one another what has worked for us and I find that information far more valuable than all the so-called "professional homeopathic" information...in fact I rarely see any of you agree on any remedy on this board, not to mention in offices across the country.

Let us not have this board turn into an iron-fisted AMA-version of alternative medicine. It is for advice and everyone here knows that much of the advice is not coming from licensed homeopaths...we're adults and have the choice of making our own decisions. But I would rather try something that has worked for someone else than not.
