Having suffered for 1 year with bilateral
ovarian cysts and huge fibroids - causing excrutiatingly painful periods - and after attempting to treat the obvious hormone imbalance with acupuncture and cranial work and natural progesterone- and chemical medicines - to no avail - I submitted to the operation of last resort for a 45 year old -
a hysterectomy.
I healed very fast - was given HRT patches as sweats and flushes set in immediately - took off the required 6 weeks convalesence
returned to work - feeling pretty good and 10 pounds lighter.
3 months later have stopped being able to sleep through the night - waking consistently at 3am - struggling to sleep again until 6.30 when time to get up ! Feeling generally quite anxious during the day (without any specific reason) and not able to relax even after a great work out.
Have become quite worried about petty things and fears about the future seem constantly present together with fears of the "what-if " variety (fire flood etc!!)
Acupuncture helps but only for a short while - now have also developed a tendonitis type pain in my upper left arm - apparently due to something they did when moving me in hospital -
Work stress beginning to irritate me - although I used to thrive on it - very little patience in my stores!
My main concern is the lack of good sleep.
Have not found a good homeopath yet so am self prescribing. Am currently on a whole food and fruit type diet in case my sugar levels are the day time problem. Have been taking Arsen Alb for the fears and what-if's and Kali Carb to generally calm me. Does anyone have suggestions re the homeopathic
equivalent of sleeping pills?
